FIREFIGHTERS tackled a car fire in Runcorn.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze at Daresbury Park shortly after 7.30pm last night.
An hour later firefighters were called to Norton Village Road to deal with uncontrolled burning.
A resident had started a fire which had become out of control.
Crews used a hose reel jet to put out the fire and were at the scene for around 20 minutes.
