A SCIENTIFIC instrument company which helps specialists diagnose diseases and detect drug abuse has moved to Runcorn.
KRSS, a mass spectrometer sales, service and research business has expanded and taken over a 15,558 sq ft warehouse on Manor Park.
The firm supplies hospitals, universities and pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies with sophisticated measuring equipment that can accurately identify and quantify chemicals under investigation.
This technology has contributed to the development of treatment for cancer and many other diseases.
Managing director Kevin Donaldson said: “Business in the last 12 months has been phenomenal.
"We are already looking to expand our operation in Manor Park thanks to the fantastic support we have received from Halton Council.”
The company has grown from 18 employees to 30 in just nine months and currently has three vacancies.
A Council spokesman said: "This is exactly the kind of business we want to attract to Runcorn.
"KRSS is on the cutting edge of science in their field and in the process are creating sustainable and high value jobs.
Imran Younus, commercial and marketing director of Pin Property which has provided a 10 year lease, said: "KRSS is a real asset to our portfolio.
"We will do everything we can to support their growth ambitions."
