Firefighters tackle bin lorry blaze
A BIN lorry caught fire on a major road in Widnes today.
The brakes on the lorry ignited in Watkinson Way shortly before 10am.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters cooled the brakes using a hose reel and monitored the area with a thermal imaging camera.”
