Catering van destroyed in Runcorn blaze
A CATERING van was destroyed in a fierce blaze in Runcorn.
Firefighters tackled the burning vehicle in Goddard Road, Astmoor, shortly before 8am today.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “The fire appeared to be out but crews used one hose reel to damp down and cool as the vehicle contained cylinders. A thermal imaging camera was used to check that the cylinders were cooled down.”
The van measured 2.5 metres by six metres.
